Summar and Eric's Philly Engagement

As I drove through the busy streets of downtown Philadelphia, I couldn't contain my excitement for the engagement session I was about to jump into. The couple, Summar and Eric, are anything but ordinary - as photographers and artists, their personalities and love for all things ecclectic and unique was evident from their first inquiry where they let me know they were having a disco themed wedding at the Elmwoood Park Zoo! (cue squeals on my part) This was going to be an outside the box vibe, and I was ready to capture every moment of their unique love story.

Our first location was a Germantown brewery, where the couple shared a love for craft beer and vibrant ambiance. The colorful chairs and lit up sign with vintage beer labels created a perfect backdrop for some fun and playful interactions by the colorful brewery walls- we even took the extra time to set up a shot for this fun gif!

Next, we ventured to a quaint record store, where the couple's passion for music and all things vintage flourished. The shelves lined with eclectic vinyl records provided a retro-chic setting for some sweet shots, including a few of them holding the record with their wedding song by The Lumineers.

Our final stop was inside the brewery where Eric works- Attic Brewing Co, a hidden gem bursting with vibrant colors and unique decor. The kaleidoscope of neon lights and eclectic bar set the stage for some of the most colorful shots of the entire shoot.

Throughout the shoot we got to know each other and chat, navigating changing lighting conditions, crowded bar areas, ordering cocktails togeether (Attic has this pear cocktail that is seriously a must-try). A few memorable moments include when they spontaneously broke out funky sunglasses and played giant Connect 4 in the middle of the brewery yard, and Summar throwing on a veil and hopping up ONTO the bar for some flashy filmy vintage vibes.

In the end, this Philly engagement shoot was a true testament to the power of love and creativity. Eric and Summar's fun, artistic spirits shone through in every image, and I couldn't be more thrilled to have been a part of their colorful love story. As I packed up my gear and bid farewell to the vibrant streets of downtown Philadelphia, I couldn't wait to see the magic we had created together.
